A Madness
B Mind Bend

All the usual punchiness of a JT track with the bounce you’d expect from the early 00s (six years ago already!!). For me the kind of sound I associate with Tokyo. Dan Bell makes a guest vocal appearance on Mind Bend to support the US techno massive, fighting to not be forgotten after the European hijack at the start of the millennium.

A1 Headcase
A2 Disconnect (Edit)
B1 Digital/Divide

NovaMute pressing of Plastikman Disconnect. Short, sweet and to the point. Love the rolling bassline and the dark vocals. Headcase is more classic Richie, simple yet effective.

A1 Spastik
AA1 Helicopter
AA2 Gak (Remix)

Add another 90s Hawtin classic onto the heap. Amazing intro on this track, its not until about five minutes in you realise your fist has been pumping of its own accord for the best part. True minimal percussion at its best. Double A side annotation well deserved on this record too, with Helicopter another minimal slow burner and Gak (Remix) an absolute crazy head shaker not long from the start.

A1 Backlash
AA1 Revelation 928
AA2 Lash Out

Richie Hawtin, Dan Bell and John Acquaviva going at it rave style on the Champion issuing of a Plus 8 record. Long decay on the hihat deep whirring bassline and vocal screams to get warehouse walls rattling in the industrial area of any Canadian city. Double A side comes complete with early 90s sci-fi(esque) sampling.
